About me

Pronouns: she/her

Iā€™m a Los Angeles-based psychotherapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW, California License #115675).

My Take on Therapy

Therapy is for anyone looking to make a change, heal from past experiences, or develop a better relationship with themselves. Therapy is also helpful when you are already functioning well, but want to enhance your mental wellbeing.

As your therapist, my goal is to work with you to help you achieve your goals and create the change that you want. With a collaborative and individualized approach, I work to build on your strengths and help to locate and trust your own inner wisdom. I see a wide range of people with diverse concerns. I often help people with anxiety, depression, work or school stress, life transitions, or traumatic experiences. As for scheduling, I understand life is busy so I will always do my best to work with you to find a time for therapy that makes sense.

Education and Training

For undergraduate studies, I majored in Psychology at Boston University. From there, I went to Columbia University and received my Masters in Social Work, with a focus in clinical work. During my time in graduate school, I completed a specialty program that provided intensive clinical training. In my internships, I worked at a New York City high school providing counseling to students and another year as a Social Work Intern at New York University Child Study Center. In addition to my clinical internships, I volunteered as a Peer Counselor at the Gay Health Advocacy Project (GHAP) at Columbia Health Center which focuses on providing sexual health testing, counseling, and education to students.

As for therapy modalities used in treatment, I am intensively trained in the evidence-based treatment for emotion regulation-related issues and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have experience using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Mindfulness-Based Therapy.
